Hand/ Reconstructive Surgeon

Job Requirements

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health is seeking a BE/BC plastic surgeon who is CAQ-eligible to build a long-term career in Maryland. Join an established community hospital-employed practice in a growing community in the mid-Atlantic. We have an excellent relationship with orthopedic surgery to function within a larger musculoskeletal center and focus on hand/wrist. Enjoy access to brand new state-of-the-the-art office and ambulatory surgery facilities. Excellent location for raising a family with a perfect blend of urban/suburban/rural life. The majority of the practice is elective/subacute hand surgery with general plastic/cosmetic surgery opportunity depending on the candidate's interest. Academic affiliations are also available for those interested. There will be some hand-only call commitment at our community hospital (not a trauma center). Great blend of lifestyle, location, community and job content.

-Competitive base salary depending on qualifications/experience with additional quality/productivity incentives

-Excellent benefits (subsidized Health, Dental, Vision, etc.) within the University of Maryland Medical Center human resources umbrella

-Retirement contribution

-Full malpractice coverage with NO tail responsibility

-Annual CME stipend

-No need to manage a practice or staff

-Mostly hand without competition from orthopedic surgery

-Thriving family-friendly community in a central mid-Atlantic location

-Flexibility to grow your own practice depending on your own interests, academic affiliations/teaching opportunities are available
