Health Information Department Manager
- GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- The Director of Health Information Management performs managerial, administrative, professional and supervisory work in directing the activities of the HIM Department.
- EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Baccalaureate degree in Health Information Management preferred.
- Registered as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
- WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Five to seven (5-7) years of management responsibility in a medical records department preferred.
