As a Release of Information Specialist, you'll help ensure patient health information is released accurately, securely, and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.

What You'll Do

• Process requests for release of patient health information.
• Verify authorization and ensure requests meet established requirements.
• Locate and retrieve appropriate medical records.
• Prepare and release records accurately and securely.
• Respond to requests from patients, providers, organizations, and other authorized parties.
• Maintain accurate documentation of release activity.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Follow HIPAA and organizational policies and procedures.
• Communicate professionally with patients and internal and external customers.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Healthcare, medical records, or administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.

Pay & Benefits

$19.00 - $28.00 per hour (Pay is based on experience.)
