- Job Summary:
- Assumes responsibility for first-line supervision of a section within the laboratory:
- Chemistry / Special Chemistry
- Hematology / Serology / Coagulation / Urinalysis
- Covers for Lab Manager
- Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated under the supervision of a medical technologist. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of techniques, principals and instruments and their inter-relationships as well as the physiological conditions affecting test results.
- Assumes responsibility for first-line supervision of a section within the laboratory:
- Education:
- Position requires a bachelor's degree or 3-5 years equivalent combination of education and experience in related area.
- Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- ASCP, AMT, NCA or equivalent
- Experience:
- Position requires 2-3 years related experience.
- Other Requirements:
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
