Histology Technician

Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Pathologists and the Pathology/Histology Supervisor, performs all functions necessary for accurate histological examination of body tissues; processes and stains all specimens submitted for histological analysis

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in life science preferred.

Experience
At least one year prior Histology experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability required.

Licensure and/or Certification
HT(ASCP) preferred.

Skills
Strong organizational skills
Must be detail-oriented.
Computer proficiency required.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to maintain confidential information required.
