Summary

Prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologist.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Graduate of an accredited histology program.
2. Analytical ability and physical dexterity required for microscopic slide production and screening from human body fluid specimens; troubleshooting ability to correct procedural difficulties.

Preferred Qualifications

1. American Society for Clinical Pathology registration HT (ASCP).
2. Minimum of six months experience in a histology laboratory to develop histology techniques.
