Housing Liaison
The Housing Liaison works to assist individuals who are at risk of or experiencing unsheltered homelessness or unstable housing, collaboratively with local Continuum of Care, coordinated entry, landlords, and other community partners. The goal is to facilitate access to safe, affordable, and stable housing as foundational to behavioral health recovery, self-sufficiency, and community integration in accordance with DMH's Housing Liaison program standards.
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in case management, homelessness, supportive housing, or social services is preferred.
- Experience in rural setting preferred.
- Experience with harm reduction and trauma informed care
- Knowledge of Coordinated Entry and Housing First principles preferred.
- Knowledge of benefits systems, housing subsidies, landlord/tenant laws
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or other related field preferred
- Direct mental health experience working with individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental illness equal to the number of years of education required to obtain a bachelor's degree
