Infectious Disease Physician - Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy

Moffitt Cancer Center's Division of Infectious Diseases invites applications for an Infectious Disease Physician with a strong interest in Transplant and Cellular Therapy Infectious Diseases (TID) to join our growing team at the Assistant or Associate Member level. As the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in Florida and a national leader in stem cell transplantation and cellular immunotherapy, Moffitt offers unparalleled opportunities to practice at the forefront of cancer-related infectious diseases. Our hybrid academic practice affiliated with the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) provides a dynamic and collaborative environment for clinicians passionate about caring for immunocompromised patients and advancing the science of infection management in oncology. You will serve as a core member of a high-acuity, high-impact Transplant Infectious Diseases (TID) service caring for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and cellular immunotherapies, including CAR T-cell and other novel engineered-cell platforms. Clinical service will be at Moffitt Cancer Center and will include the TID inpatient consult service and an outpatient clinic. You will partner with world-renowned leaders in stem cell transplant, cellular therapy, and immunotherapy

Academic & Research Growth

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a completed MD, MD/PhD, or MD/ Master's degree.
  • Should possess active FL MD Licensure or be eligible for one.
  • Should possess an active DEA license or eligible for one.
  • Should have completed subspeciality or fellowship training in Infectious Disease.
  • Applicants should also be Board Certified in Internal Medicine with a certificate of special qualification in infectious diseases or be eligible for certification.

Preferred Skills/Specialized Training

  • Experience in Multidisciplinary Academic Clinical Practice
  • Experience with conduct of or participation in clinical trials
  • Experience or training in general infectious disease, a surgical/perioperative patient population, and an immunosuppressed patient population

Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute is Florida's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. We are expanding our faculty to meet substantial institutional growth. The Cancer Center comprises a large, 3 facility ambulatory care practice, a 206-bed hospital, with a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, 15 state of the art operating suites, a 30-bed intensive care unit, a high-volume screening program, and a basic science research facility.
