Insurance Specialist Registration Denials

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

The insurance specialist is responsible for resolving registration-related payer denials, which are housed in Epic account worksques. On a daily basis, the insurance specialist will utilize payer guidelines to correct the account and appeal the denial.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A high school graduate degree or equivalent is required. A combined minimum of (2) years' experience in registration. Must have knowledge of Texas Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance programs. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
