Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant – Part-time Day Shift
The RN Lactation Consultant participates in the Lactation Program development and management.
• Serves as an expert consultant to maternal-child staff, physicians and other healthcare professionals in the management of patients with complex breastfeeding problems
• Participates in program management to support and encourage successful breastfeeding through the first year of life
• Participates in program development activities to facilitate successful exclusive breastfeeding for inpatient mother/infant

Qualifications What you need to be successful:
• ADN required and BSN preferred
• Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association required
• Current NRP issued by the American Heart Association required
• IBCLC preferred or CLC with IBCLC within 6 months of hire
