Lead Data Engineer (Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS ) FTE- Remote Summary The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for building and evolving scalable, robust and resilient data pipelines to validate, ingest, normalize/enrich and business-specific processing of healthcare data. Build Healthcare Data Lake to consolidate healthcare data across Payers, Providers and Member and provide value added services either directly or in partnership with other products and services. He/she will be a thought leader in Big data technologies and their applications in building the platform and pipelines. What will I be responsible for in this job? (brief summary of the role)Lead, architect, design and develop secure, performant, scalable and resilient Data Pipelines, Data lakes and Databases in a Cloud environmentProvide technical leadership in best practices around data pipelines, metadata management, data quality, data governance and data privacySupport Change Healthcare customers by building metrics for quality and service deliverablesDrive issue resolutions and root cause analysis with on-call dutyBe a thought leader and partner in the development and execution of the Healthcare Interoperability initiativeMentor and train other big data engineers What are the requirements?• Years of experience: 10+ years• Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or related fieldWhat critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?- 5+ years working experience in Big Data technologies, for example: Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SQL and NoSQL data stores - Experience with AWS Services - Compute (EMR, EC2), Storage (S3, Aurora, DynamoDb, Redshift), Stream/Batch processing (Kinesis, Managed Kafka), Monitoring (Cloudwatch, CloudHealth) and Managed Kubernetes - Python, Java and scripting experience - Leading delivery of projects working with multiple organizations across the company - Strategic and Thought leader but also hands-on and execution oriented. - Data Driven and detail oriented mentality What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?- Experience with Service Oriented Architectures - Scala experience - Open Source contribution - AWS Certification - Track record of implementing AWS services in large enterprises as well as start-ups #li-remote Join our team today where we are creating a better coordinated, increasingly collaborative, and more efficient healthcare system!
