Lean Trainer
Job Summary
The Lean Trainer role's primary focus is training Shannon team members in Lean Concepts in Healthcare. You will achieve this through training, coaching, and mentoring Shannon team members utilizing Lean tools and Lean Management Systems processes. Through this training, Shannon team members will be given the tools to drive measurable reductions in waste within organizational processes, enhance efficiency, safety, and foster positive organizational change. Additionally, you will advocate for the adoption of Lean Concepts in Healthcare among Shannon team members.
Performance: Position Specific Essential Functions
- Deliver interactive training sessions to build knowledge and skills that transfer into team member's daily work.
- Design and facilitate ongoing Lean Training programs.
- Teach team members how to identify and eliminate non-value -added activities and streamline processes.
- Empower staff to actively participate in performance improvement efforts.
- Align leaders and staff around a shared vision for Shannon's Lean program.
- Work as a coach/mentor to departmental management to assure appropriate participation and support for ongoing sustainability of the Lean concepts in healthcare training.
- Works as a Lean Process Improvement Champion to actively promote continuous process improvement at Shannon.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead and inspire change.
- Track participation in Lean training to ensure all team members receive Lean training.
- Ability to tailor content, present to various audiences and adapt to different learning styles.
- Team player and motivated self-starter who is resourceful and possesses a high degree of integrity and trustworthiness.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Teaching, Leadership, Healthcare, Business or related field
Experience:
- Required
- Three or more years of Teaching or Corporate Training experience
- Preferred
- One to two years of LEAN Concept experience
- One or more years of experience in Healthcare
Certification/Licensure:
- Preferred
