Locums General Surgery Physician

We are
seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon for a locum tenens opportunity in Waterloo,
Iowa. This position offers a mix of clinic, OR, and 24/7 call coverage, with
opportunities to perform a broad range of surgical procedures and manage acute
and trauma cases. 

Position
Details:

• Shift Schedule:
• Clinic Days: 2–3 days/week
• Clinic Hours: 8:30 AM –
  12:00 PM and/or 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Procedure/OR Days: Monday –
  Friday
• Shifts Per Month: Up to 30
• Shift Length: 24 hours
• On-Call Requirements: 24/7 call
  coverage
• Weekend Coverage: As needed

Responsibilities:

• Provide 24-hour call for trauma,
  acute care, and inpatient surgical consults
• Perform elective general surgery
  procedures
• Supervise wound care clinic
  (potentially)
• See new patient consults, office
  visits, and perform in-clinic procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical
  team and hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient care 

Requirements:

• Board Certified in General
  Surgery
• Active Iowa Medical License or Active
  IMLC
• DEA Certification
• BLS/ACLS  Preferred
