Locums General Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Board-Certified
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with general surgery experience to
provide locum tenens coverage in Mason City, IA. The role includes 24-hour
shifts (split between on-site clinical coverage and off-site call) and involves
a mix of inpatient rounding, surgical assisting, endoscopy, trauma care, and
general surgery responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform rounding on post-operative
  inpatients
• Respond to inpatient and Emergency
  Department surgical consults
• Assist in the Operating Room during
  general surgery and trauma procedures
• Support endoscopy procedures as needed
• Provide follow-up care in clinic
• Share in trauma and general surgery call
  responsibilities

• Shift length:
  24 hours (12 on-site + 12 on-call)
• Weekend coverage:
  As needed
• Call: Yes (part of
  shift)

Requirements:

• Board Certified Physician Assistant or
  Nurse Practitioner
• Active Iowa license or IMLC-eligible
• Prior experience in general surgery,
  trauma, endoscopy, and surgical assisting
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to
  work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork
  skills
