Locums Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Seeking a Locum
Tenens Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant  to assist the orthopedic trauma surgery team.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing acute orthopedic injuries in
a hospital or trauma setting and be confident working in collaboration with
orthopedic surgeons and other hospital staff.

Compensation:  $800 Per Shift 

Responsibilities
Include:

• First assist in the OR (if credentialed
  and experienced)
• Perform orthopedic consults in ED and
  inpatient floors
• Manage pre- and post-operative
  orthopedic patients
• Perform joint reductions, splinting, and
  wound care
• Order and interpret imaging and labs
• Coordinate with trauma and surgical
  teams

Requirements:

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician
  Assistant (PA)
• Active Texas license and DEA
• BLS/ACLS certification
• Orthopedic and/or surgical first assist
  experience required
• Prior experience in a trauma or
  hospital-based orthopedic setting required
