Schedule: 8H mid-shift, 2:30pm to 10:45 pm, 45 min. lunch
Job Responsibilities:
- The LPN will also direct and coordinate patient care and clinical supervision of support staff. The LPN will assess patient health problems and needs, develop, and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
- Prioritize and organize the daily care of patients.
- Make patient care assignments and assist in developing treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary clinical team.
- Perform ongoing assessments and document patients' physical and psychosocial status from admission through discharge.
- Provide direction to support staff, coordinate workflow on the unit, and communicate concerns or issues to unit supervisors.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and physician orders.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans for patients with acute medical conditions.
- Complete medication administration supervision, clinical observation documentation, and monitoring records for support staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation, including nursing notes, transfer forms, medication records, and other required clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and their families regarding medications, procedures, treatment plans, and expected outcomes.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and behavioral crises, including interventions for agitated patients.
- Provide orientation, mentorship, and ongoing support to new and existing staff members on the unit.
- Ensure compliance with all patient safety, infection prevention, and infection control standards, as well as applicable regulatory and organizational policies.

Required Experience:
- Indiana Professional License or License from an NLC participating state required at time of submission.
- Proficiency in computer skills and ability to learn other programs used in maintaining electronic medical records.
- Knowledge and/or ability to work with adult population, including geriatrics.
- Cerner EMR experience preferred, will accept any EMR experience.
- CPR certification preferred, training will be provided during orientation.
- Current behavioral intervention preferred, CPI training will be provided during orientation.
