Job Summary-Clinical LPN
The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse position is to perform a variety of procedures within the clinic setting under the direction of the clinic supervisor and medical director.
Primary Duties
- Greet and welcome patients
- Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling
- Participates in the admission process for patients.
- Collects and documents patient information.
- Shows awareness of patient's needs.
- Assures patient confidentiality.
- Performs ancillary screens-drug testing, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, pulmonary function tests
- Injections of medications under their scope of practice
- Blood Draws
- Assist physicians in patient visits and procedures.
- Documents accurately.
- Communicates effectively and works well with patients, co-workers and physicians.
- Facilitates patient flow to maintain schedule.
- Performs clerical duties, as needed.
- Initiates change to improve service and efficiency in the unit.
- Performs various medical tests within the realm of training..
- Demonstrates flexibility in meeting daily needs of the clinic.
- Facilitates patient records are available for future visits.
- Prioritizes duties effectively and efficiently.
- Participates in cost control program for the unit.
- Handles supplies in a cost-effective manner.
- Maintains good attendance.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Changes behavior in response to guidelines.
- Demonstrates flexibility in meeting daily needs of the unit.
- Accepts additional duties and responsibilities within the realm of training, as needed.
