LPN Physician Practice
- DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
- Coordinated team-based care to provide health services to individuals, through effective partnerships with patients, their caregivers/families, community resources and their physician. Facilitates a "shared goal model" within and across setting to achieve coordinated high quality preventive care that is patient and family-centered. The Licensed Practical Nurse supports the nursing process and functions under the direction of the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioner and/or Professional Registered Nurse.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- Clinical and administrative experience in a physician office setting preferred.
- Education and Training:
- Must be a graduate of an LPN course given by an accredited school.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse
- BLS
- Other Requirements:
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer skills required.
- Excellent customer service skills a must.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting required.
- High level of attention to detail, prioritization, organization, and multi-tasking a must.
- Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate with patients and co-workers orally or in written format required.
- Meets continuing education requirements in accordance with state licensing regulations.
