LVN I

Position Summary: The Licensed Vocational Nurse assists the Registered Nurse in the delivery of nursing care. In addition to performing all duties and responsibilities of the Nursing Assistant, the LVN also assists in patient teaching assignments and is required to pass medications. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse issued by the State of California. High school diploma or equivalent, education necessary to meet licensure requirements. BLS, must have a valid certificate showing completion of course in I.V. Therapy and Blood Withdrawal which has been approved by the L.V.N. Board or I.V. Therapy and Blood Withdrawal certification noted on L.V.N. license or obtain within 90 days of hire. Basic Dysrhythmia (Basic Dysrhythmia certification not required for LVNs working in ambulatory clinics). Knowledge of theory, techniques and practices of vocational nursing

[Preferred Qualifications] ACLS. Microsoft computer applications; Acute care experience as an LVN

Salary Range: $27.22 - $38.31 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
