Materials Management Supervisor

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operation to ensure accurate receiving and distribution of supplies to serve the needs of the customers.
  2. Provide direction on issues with supply room restocking to ensure that needed supplies are available for patient care.
  3. Monitors inventory for re-order values for fluctuating market demands, clinical usage trends, and seasonal impact to ensure inventory availability.
  4. Collaborate with multiple departments campus-wide and multi-levels of management to coordinate deliveries and provide high level of customer service to calls coming into receiving department.
  5. Supervise daily Central Supply work assignments.
  6. Trains, evaluates, motivates, delegates and monitor staff activities.
  7. Ensures Rush standards and Supply Chain policies and procedures are adhered.
  8. Conducts employee performance evaluations and recommends annual merit increases.
  9. Coordinates and ensures employees complete required annual training.
  10. Ensures all supply rooms are restocked daily. Escalating any issues to ensure all relevant parties are aware.
  11. Assists with investigating and reporting issues with any incoming orders.
  12. Coordinate day-to-day operations within Central Supply as needed.
  13. Ensures all orders and documents are processed and posted daily in the system.
  14. Communicates to department leadership in timely manner all inter- and intra- department issues related to Central Supply operations and staff. 15.Provides Director with daily volume reports. Assists Director with year-end inventory process.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  1. Associates Degree in related field required.
  2. High School Diploma required and six years of experience in lieu of Associates Degree.

Experience

  1. Two years of experience within supply chain management, distribution or receiving required.
  2. Experience in health care.
