Med-Surg RN - Panama City, FL
Position Type: Full-Time / Permanent Contingent
Schedule: Days or Nights – Rotating Weekends
Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM OR 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 6:1

Compensation: $29.92 – $44.88/hr
Mid Rate: $39.21/hr – 10 years of experience
Maximum Rate: $44.88/hr – 17 years of experience

Requirements

• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate/compact RN license required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse Diploma required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of employment.
• Acute Care RN experience required; experience does not have to be specifically in Med-Surg.
• Acute Care RN experience should be within the last 3 years.
• Candidates with several years of RN experience may qualify with acute-care experience within the last 5 years.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, documentation, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, and patient-advocacy skills.
• Compact license holders must obtain a Florida RN license within 60 days of relocation.
