Medical Assistant
Willis Knighton Health is seeking a Medical Assistant in a fast-paced asthma allergy clinic. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate strong ethics, critical and organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, dependability, possess excellent communication skills, have a solid knowledge of computers, and have the initiative to work independently. The MA will provide care to patients in physician offices under the supervision of the Clinical Physician. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: assess the health status of patients and collaborate with the nursing staff and physicians to establish care procedures; contribute to the planning of appropriate nursing interventions; medication administration for oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal. They will assist in allergy testing and mixing of allergan for allergy injections;have an atmosphere of teamwork that we expect to continue with all new hires as you will work closely with the physicians, managers, nursing, and clerical and medical assisting duties. The job responsibilities of performing allergy testing, taking vital signs, answering/returning phone calls, refills and scheduling of tests and procedures as ordered. Hospital and Departmental Orientation will be provided upon completion of the hiring processes as well as training on our enterprise - wide practice management system, including health records. Assist patients with activities of daily living; document patient assessment; communicate pertinent information regarding the patient condition to other members of the health care team; and provide information to patient/family regarding disease processes or diagnostic procedures. A medical assistant certification is required.
