Medical Assistant
- Position Summary
- Performs basic patient care, clinical duties, and testing in keeping with established policies and procedures.Keeps an accurate and concise record of patient observations, testing and procedures; documents findings in the medical record.Recognizes and anticipates urgent or emergent situations and responds appropriately.Performs administrative duties in line with the needs of the office and as completion of primary duties allows.

- Core Job Functions
- All controls will be run according to policy and procedure. All specimen collection will be done according to policy and procedure. All proficiency testing and quality control assurance will be done according to policy and procedure.
- Vitals and other testing as indicated is performed on co-workers in a timely manner. Assists OHS providers with assessments and interventions as appropriate. Communicates effectively with co-workers, OHS staff and other members of the healthcare team.
- Follows policies and procedures for specimen collection and testing. Keeps an accurate and concise record of patient observations, testing and procedures; documents findings in the medical record.
