Title: Medical Assistant
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9am -5pm

Summary:
Medical Assistant needed for a very busy CARDIOLOGY practice.

Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties
• Taking medical histories
• Taking and recording vital signs
• Performing EKGs (mandatory skill)
• Applying Holter monitor
• Explaining treatment procedures to patients
• Preparing patients for examination
• Assisting physician wit h examinations
• Collecting and prepare laboratory specimens
• Authorizing prescription refills as directed by physician
• Clerical Duties
• Update medical records:
• Update medications
• Handle both wri tten and verbal correspondence

Skills/Experience:
EKG, Holter monitor

Certifications/Licenses:
CMA preferred

Medical Assistant training
