MEDICAL ASSISTANT II - PROVIDER BASED

Position Summary: Assists providers by performing clinical and clerical support related to patient care and treatment.

Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: High school or equivalent and graduation from a Medical Assistant Training program Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant within one year of hire. BLS certification Preferred Experience: Experience as a Medical Assistant in an office practice Previous lab experience Clinical Skills: Phlebotomy Skills: Machine Computer Telephone Calculator Copier Fax Scanner Skills: Administrative Strong organizational and communication skills Quick learner & efficient worker Medical terminology Excellent computer skills Multi-task skills Working knowledge of health insurance plans Physical Demands: Ability to concentrate and sit for long periods of time Fast-paced office environment with daily and weekly deadlines Considerable walking and standing Ability to convey a public image
