Medical Device Software Engineer

Our client, a leader in healthcare technology and medical device solutions, is seeking a Medical Device Software Engineer to join their team. As a Medical Device Software Engineer, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting the Medical Software Development team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for innovative healthcare solutions which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Medical Device Software Engineer

Location: Milwaukee, WI

What's the Job?

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for medical diagnostic devices and applications
  • Lead architecture and design decisions for new product development and maintenance activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality and compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Review and approve code and design artifacts to ensure high standards
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success


What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in PC-based applications
  • Proficiency in C++, C#, .NET, and object-oriented design principles
  • Experience with SQL databases such as SQL Server Express or pgSQL
  • Knowledge of healthcare domain standards and medical software development processes
