JOB TITLE: Medical Laboratory Scientist-MT
LOCATION: Munster, IN
DUTIES: Perform moderate and complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Analyze and document a variety of microscopic, bacteriologic, immunohematologic or chemical diagnostic laboratory tests, conduct advance tests and laboratory utilization activities. May perform the duties of a Medical Laboratory Technician and a Laboratory Technologist. Accountable for all tasks and responsibilities as designated by the CLIA rule and/or delegations made as a result (laboratory documentation delineates this specific information). Fulfill the expectation for the completion of all responsibilities as determined by the applicable CLIA role. Duties are performed under the supervision of a Senior Technologist, Laboratory Supervisor, AP General Specialist, or Laboratory Site Director/Site Laboratory Manager.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. Also requires MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification or the ability to obtain such certification within 1 year of hire. Must be able to work evening shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM) including rotating weekends and holidays.
RATE OF PAY: $67,184.00 to $94,099.20 per year.
