About this role:

As a Medical Oncology Physician in Oncology, at Intermountain Health in Southern Nevada you will work with a dedicated tight knit team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and an excellent patient experience. In this role you will have the opportunity to provide care to our oncology/hematology patients. You will provide outpatient and inpatient consultations, diagnose diseases and implement a course of treatment. In the Nevada market Intermountain Health, you will have the opportunity to provide care in value-based care setting where we serve a large Medicare Advantage population. To be effective in this role this position is supported by 2 medical assistants, 3 nurses and 3 support staff. Oncology Nurse Navigators are also part of the care team to support patients during their treatment course. Work with established and experienced physicians and advanced practice providers. Those with strong experience in community oncology with a clinic emphasis are encouraged to apply. Moving forward, this position will give you the opportunity to participate in clinical research.

  • This position includes a $50,000 sign-on bonus, $75,000 in student loan assistance, and up to $20,000 in relocation assistance.
  • You will practice at Intermountain's Tenaya Clinic, 2851 N. Tenaya Way Ste 101 Las Vegas, Nevada, although other locations may be available depending on practice availability
  • An organizational focus on supporting physician work-life balance is reflected in providing a 4-day patient facing work week schedule to provide the busy oncologist the time needed to provide top notch quality patient care that is the Intermountain brand.
  • A reasonable call schedule is shared by the physicians within the group with an average of 1:6 or less call as the group continues to grow.
  • Intermountain Healthcare Oncology/Hematology provides patients with a range of cancer care therapies including medical oncology, clinical hematology, cancer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy with the most advanced IGRT technology, and HDR brachytherapy.
  • An onsite oral pharmacy is embedded in each clinic with point of care testing available to support the necessary treatment decisions this provider will prescribe.

What you'll bring:

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • Residency training in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology
  • Board certification or eligibility in Oncology
  • Active, unobstructed Nevada medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process
  • Candidates requiring a visa sponsorship accepted
