Microbiologist I

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Microbiologist I to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will perform microbiological testing on raw materials and samples using aseptic techniques, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of results. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong scientific background, excellent bench skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analysis on samples and raw materials using aseptic techniques
• Apply established test methods and procedures to complete required testing
• Accurately collect, process, and interpret data to draw sound scientific conclusions
• Communicate project and testing status clearly and effectively to management
• Follow written procedures and protocols to maintain quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Adapt to changes in priorities, project delays, or other unplanned events while maintaining critical timelines
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces in compliance with health and safety guidelines
• Support multiple concurrent projects and contribute to timely result reporting and milestone achievements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related scientific field
• 1â3 years of relevant professional (post-graduate) experience
• Proficient in aseptic techniques, pipetting, handling media, and working within a biosafety cabinet (BSC)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Excellent laboratory bench skills with a commitment to safety and organization
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
