Job Overview:
The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. The technician delivers telemetry to inpatient units and performs monitor connection/discharge, patient preparation, and teaching related to the monitor.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification through American Heart Association required
Preferred:
- Telemetry and/or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
- Flex Schedule
- Coverage for day, evening and weekend shifts
