RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST / MULTI-MODALITY (REQ 3935)

Responsibilities:
- Rad Tech will perform diagnostic radiographs, MRI, CT or Mammo scans as directed by physicians or radiologists.
- Rad Tech will prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Rad Tech will operate and adjust imaging equipment according to procedural standards.
- Rad Tech will educate patients about procedures and answer any related questions.
- Rad Tech will complete quality assurance tasks and maintain accurate departmental records.
Knowledge and Experience:
- ARRT (R) certification required, with a minimum of 2 years of radiology experience.
- MRI, CT, or Mammography certifications preferred; registry-eligible candidates will be considered.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Technologist must maintain ARRT registration and required CEU credits.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and procedural accuracy.
- Experience with quality assurance and imaging documentation preferred.
- Physical Requirement: Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and assist patients during imaging procedures.
Work Environment:
South Peninsula Hospital is a 22 bed critical access hospital (CAH), with an attached 28 bed long term care facility, and a variety of clinics. This position involves potential exposure to ionizing radiation and other occupational hazards common to medical imaging. You'll be part of a supportive, close-knit imaging team.
