Job description
Under the direction of the Director of Radiology, performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Computed Tomography procedures to produce images to assist physicians with a medical diagnosis, while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.Essential FunctionsEssential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. - Greet, accept and prepare the patient for MRI, CT, and X-ray procedures, according to certifications held.
- Assess and document patient’s condition to determine proper handling and special requirements.
- Ensure positive experience for the patient while at any PMI facility and uphold company objective for patient satisfaction.
- Check requisition for physician notes and/or special instructions.
- Instruct and assist patients in assuming physical position for appropriate test.
- Administer contrast materials as necessary. Recognize and respond to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
- Adhere to procedure protocols as established by the Medical Director.
- Enforce MRI/CT and radiation safety procedures to provide a safe environment for patients and staff. Safety procedures for other modalities may apply if certified.
- Maintain facility equipment/rooms in proper working condition. Multiple modalities may apply. Report malfunctions and necessary repairs to the Radiology Manager.
- Work closely with Director of Radiology and Practice Administrator to assist with various duties as needed at the outpatient facility.
- Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Two years previous MRI, CT experience. Multiple experiences/modalities preferred.
- ARRT license or ACR accreditation requirements must be met for all modalities performed.
- Ability to do essential job duties.
- Ability to read, understand, speak and follow English instructions. Bilingual preferred.
- Display superior interpersonal skills for effective communication with patient and peers
- Must have complete competency in standard precautions, aseptic technique, venipuncture and contrast administration.

- Possess common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
