Available Shifts: 8 E
Pay Rate: $3098.00 - $3193.00

This MRI Technologist opportunity is based in the Taunton, Massachusetts area, a welcoming New England community that offers both historic charm and modern convenience. Taunton provides easy access to Boston, Providence, and the beaches of Cape Cod, making it an ideal home base for professionals who enjoy both city amenities and quieter suburban living. Residents benefit from a variety of parks and green spaces, local festivals and community events throughout the year, and a growing restaurant and shopping scene. The region is known for its balance of affordable living, strong school systems in surrounding towns, and convenient commuter routes.
The facility offers a modern imaging environment with up-to-date MRI technology and dedicated support from a multidisciplinary radiology team. The imaging department emphasizes patient safety, quality, and efficiency, backed by structured protocols and a strong culture of continuous improvement. Technologists are supported by experienced radiologists, nurses, and support staff, creating a collaborative atmosphere where questions are encouraged and education is ongoing. The department’s workflows are built around digital imaging, PACS, and a fully integrated electronic medical record to streamline patient care.
In this role, the MRI Technologist will perform a broad range of MRI exams, including neurological, musculoskeletal, abdominal, vascular, and body imaging studies. A typical day includes reviewing orders and patient histories, screening patients and anyone entering the MRI suite for safety, positioning patients for optimal image quality and comfort, and working closely with radiologists and providers to ensure appropriate protocols are selected. Technologists will follow standardized imaging protocols while also adapting to patient-specific needs to deliver high-quality diagnostic images.
The position may involve working with both inpatient and outpatient populations, with a caseload that can include scheduled exams, add-on studies, and urgent or emergent cases, depending on shift assignment. Patient volumes are managed to support both throughput and the time needed for safe, thorough care. The environment supports adherence to safety standards, infection prevention practices, and strict MRI safety procedures, including detailed screening processes and careful monitoring during contrast-enhanced studies.
