Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist
The following are the duties and responsibilities to adequately perform this job.
• Sufficient knowledge of principles, methods and practices, procedures and terminology to perform the routine tasks of a Radiologic Technologist with minimal additional training.
• Sufficient skill in using stationary and mobile radiologic equipment and software.
• Must be knowledgeable of and use Universal Precautions.
• Sufficient ability to advise others on technical questions involving Radiologic procedures.
• Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
• Instructs and prepares patients for radiographic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
• Assists in maintaining basic records, reports, scheduling, filing and phone communication.
• Programs portable or stationary techniques for various examinations, settings and equipment.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required by procedure. Monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Takes call according to schedule after regular department hours, when department is closed.
• Works holidays and weekends as required and various shifts to include third shift as needed.
Interacts professionally with patients and family.
Assures patients rights to privacy.
