Position Highlights

• Department: Department Of Pediatrics
• Hours: 12.00 per week
• Shift: Shift 1
• Schedule: Flexible schedule with variable contracts available!

Position Summary:

• Neonatal APRN or PA-C to provide expert, family-centered care in a Level II Special Care Nursery and birthing center!
• Collaborates with Pediatrician to manage both well newborns and infants with moderate medical needs.
• Attends deliveries & is skilled in newborn resuscitation & stabilization for potential transfer to a tertiary care center.
• Provides backup support to the Emergency Departments as needed for newborn emergencies.
• Additionally, the APP plays a key role in parent education, breastfeeding support, and discharge planning, while promoting patient safety and contributing to quality improvement initiatives in the nursery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have at least two years of experience in a Level III/IV NICU.
• Currently licensed in the state of CT and holds CT CSP certificate and DEA license.
• Current NRP certification and/or instructor.
