Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques producing images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:

1. Graduate of a school of nuclear medicine tech program.

Previous Experience:

1. Prior experience preferred.

Other Special Training/Skills:

1. Ability to operate nuclear medicine equipment, manage patient case, follow oral and written instructions.

Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:

1. Certification by ARRT in radiology and nuclear medicine and/or Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
2. Current and valid Louisiana credentials by the Louisiana Board of Radiology is required as a Radiologic Technologist and a Nuclear Med Tech - or- can also be licensed as only a Nuclear Med Tech.
