Nurse Practitioner

1. DESCRIPTION
   • General Function: The physician provides care to patients in the clinic and hospital setting. The physician follows established clinic standards, procedures, and practices in providing optimal patient care to the community residents.
2. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
   • Educational Requirements:
     • Completion of accredited nursing program and current, valid RN license in the state of Louisiana.
     • Graduate of an Accredited Masters Education Program with a Nurse Practitioner focus.
     • CPR Certification(required within 30 days of employment)
     • ACLS Certification(required within 30 days of employment)

• Experience Requirements:
  • Preferred Two years in an OB/GYN office.

III. JOB RELATED HAZARDS
Most job functions will take place in an air-conditioned office with little exposure to hazardous or infectious materials. Customer contact may cause some exposure to infection. There is long hours of standing. Some possible lifting, stooping, and pushing may be necessary.
