JOB DESCRIPTION

NURSE PRACTITIONER

Reports to: Medical Director for Clinical Supervision

Chief Operations Officer for Administrative Supervision

Salary: Negotiable

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluation and diagnosis of consumers in outpatient setting
  2. Will conduct routine medication management and six-month reassessments
  3. Pharmacological treatment for patients including prescribing medications and providing follow -up in office or in the field if needed
  4. Provide continuity of care by facilitating hospital admits when needed
  5. Coordinate care with other service providers inside and/or outside of the agency. This includes availability for telephone consultations and team meetings as needed
  6. Consult with the supervising physician as needed
  7. Responsible for ensuring that 20% of work is reviewed by the Medical Director or designee every 30 days as required by state licensing board
  8. Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • RN degree; Advance Practice Nurse
  • Full unrestricted TN license or multistate license that includes TN
  • Nurse Practitioner certification; Psychiatry certification preferred
  • Previous mental health experience
  • Excellent communication skills
