How You’ll Make a Difference
Responsible for the patient assessment, interpretation, diagnosis, and prescribing of appropriate medical and nursing therapeutic measures for the program.
Performs routine therapeutic procedures appropriate for specialty area and within scope of practice as determined by education and/or experience.
Consults with physician as appropriate.
Elicits a personal medical history and assesses and determines differential diagnosis. Prescribes accordingly.
Instructs and counsels patients on physical/mental health including, but not limited to, diet, preventive health measures, disease, treatment, and normal growth and development.
As part of the health care team, performs evaluation and treatment procedures necessary to provide an appropriate response to life-threatening emergency situations. Assists in providing emergency medical interventions until a physician arrives.
Signs medical and nursing plan and maintain records according to established standards and guidelines.
Maintains appropriate processes related to operations, including reporting, cash processes, and use of technology.
Qualifications
License & Certifications
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license issued by the state of Wisconsin, and
Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or
Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Education
Master's Degree in Nursing.
Experience

Ability to work independently and as a member of a health care team.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
