The Role
Medici Onsite is actively seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM starting in July. This individual will care for a pediatric and adult patient population (city employees and dependents) at both our on-site clinic and in our new Mobile Unit which travels to various City of Albuquerque facilities/departments. This individual will be required to drive the mobile unit which is fully supported with RN staff.
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. No late clinics, no weekends, no after-hours charting and NO CALL.
What You'll Do
- Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physicals for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
- Implement interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.
- Assist with the provision of surgical care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
- Facilitate the patient's transition within and between health care settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
- Facilitate staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools
What You'll Bring
- Masters degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Mexico
- Current Nurse Practitioner Certification in specialty area of focus
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); PALS provider card as required by department and facility
- Two to four years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a Primary Care setting
