Nurse Recruiter

This is professional work coordinating recruitment activities for nursing positions throughout the organization including pre-screening, interviewing, scheduling, referring and selection of qualified nursing candidates. Collaborates with HR and Nursing leadership levels to formulate a strategic plan for the recruitment and retention of nurses. Monitors and measures effectiveness of recruiting plans and other initiatives to ensure required staffing levels. Actively participates in recruiting events, promotional campaigns, job fairs/conferences and other marketing and media events to promote and “sell” and/or attract the best qualified and talented nursing staff to SMHCS. 

Prefer three (3) years nursing experience.
Prefer strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products, i.e. Word, Excel and Power Point.
Prefers three (3) years progressive professional experience in a recruitment or human resource generalist capacity.
Prefer experience in a similar sized environment
Prefer experience or knowledge of recruitment methods, screening, selection and/or interview methods.
Prefer excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the organizations including ability to effectively negotiate with outside agencies.
Prefer ability to be open-minded and demonstrate a positive attitude.
Prefer ability to demonstrate strategic thinking.
Prefer ability to read, analyze, interpret, monitor and measure recruitment/retention and other nursing statistics.
Prefer critical thinking and effective decision making skills.

BD: Bachelor Degree

BN: Bachelor of Nursing Degree
