Job Description Summary: Qualified individual who supports enteral nutrition patients by answering non-clinical related questions and coordinates the provision of formula and supplies in an accurate and timely basis. Maintains a cohesive relationship with all related enteral staff to maximize the effectiveness of the nutrition program. Job Description: Job Responsibilities: Performs enteral nutrition patient screens and formula conversion upon intake. Performs a 48 hour new patient follow up call. Supports non-dietitian patient related issues and troubleshooting including pump related issues above Nutrition Care Coordinator capabilities. Secures initial and annual order updates. Maintains an enteral census load for monthly enteral log refill calls. Assists local and corporate billing centers as needed. Discharges patients when alerted by Nutrition Care Coordinator. Supervisory Responsibilities: No (i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.) Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements: Associates or Bachelor’s degree, Medical Assistant Degree or more than 2 years of experiences as a Nutrition Care Coordinator or equivalent Basic Qualifications: Excellent oral and written communication skills Flexible and able to work effectively in multidisciplinary team Knowledge of basic medical terminology Basic competency with Microsoft Office software Travel Requirements, if required: None Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs) Dietetic technician or medical assistant Medical experience Experience with enteral nutrition This job description is to be used as a guide for accomplishing Company and department objectives, and only covers the primary functions and responsibilities of the position.
