Occupational Therapist Assistant Inpatient
- Occupational Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, carries out all therapeutic modalities or treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment responses and/or difficulties to the Therapist. Progresses and alters the treatment programs as education directs.
- Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language.
- Follows treatment plan as outlined by licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Transfers patients as needed for therapy.
- Performs patient/ family teaching.
- Communicates with Physical Therapist in patient treatment planning.
- Provides documentation of patient treatment.
- Administers medications in a timely manner, safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Occupational Therapist Assistant Requirements:
- Associate Degree in: Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Entry Level
- Valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location.
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
- Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Wisconsin.
Salary Range: $21.50 to $32.50/hr (based on experience)
