Travel Occupational Therapist job in Lovington, New Mexico lets you provide school-based therapy services to students and help them reach their educational goals.
You will assess students’ functional performance, develop and implement intervention strategies, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate with district staff and families. Responsibilities include documenting progress, adapting equipment as needed, and providing instructional recommendations for classroom integration. You may supervise COTA or OT aides and conduct evaluations for special education eligibility.
Recommended qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, current New Mexico OT license, and knowledge of IEP systems. School-based experience and strong communication skills are preferred.
