POSITION SUMMARY Oncology Data Specialists (Remote)
POSITION DUTIES Certified Tumor Registrar to support our Cancer Registry department. Extensive knowledge of principals of cancer registry operation, tumor nomenclature and classification systems with strong medical background in cancer disease process.Knowledge of computerized database analysis, data processing and database applications, including CNExT.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Oncology Data Specialist-Certified (ODS-C)3+ Years of experience working in a hospital or centralized cancer registry.Knowledge of Federal Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) regulations, the State of California Cancer Registry, Department of Health Services Cancer Surveillance Section Laws, the Regional regulatory agencies mandates and the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer program accreditation rules and regulations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree in Health/Biology or related field.  A Bachelor’s degree in Health/Biology preferred.
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT 13 Weeks
SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK Part-time or Full-time
Fully Remote - M-F 7:30-4:00pm PST
SYSTEMS EPIC, CNExT (Must have CNEXT)
