Oncology Nurse

- JOB SUMMARY
- The Oncology RN is responsible for administering nursing care to patients via the nursing process; assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. The Oncology RN supports the medical regimen as directed by the Oncologist. The RN will be aware of Major Hospitals policies and procedures and assist in providing evidence based practices.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional & Technical Skills
- Experience gained through an approved school of Nursing plus an appropriate period of hospital orientation to the Oncology unit and personnel.
- Oncology experience preferred; must have infusion experience
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN or obtain within 6 years (current ASNs with MHP refer to SPP No. HR-18)
- License(s) or Certification(s)
- Must possess a current Indiana license as a registered Nurse.
- Other Skills or Requirements
- Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)
