Position Overview:
Performs the primary functions of a Perioperative Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients from neonate to geriatric in the Operating Room/ Surgical Services during their shift. Must be able to circulate most services.
Position Highlights:
- Starting Rate: $34.88 + per hour (commensurate with experience)
- Shift Differentials: $4.00 - $10.00 per hour
- Sign On Bonus Eligible: $20,000

Key Responsibilities:
• Is responsible for meeting the AORN Standards of Nursing Practice. Carries out Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Ensures active communication between self and the patient, anesthesia, physicians, OR staff and other hospital departments
• Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory.
• Processes information on the HIS as required in performing job responsibilities.
• Is able to perform the duties and know guidelines / standards for the PACU and Pre-op interview nurse as required.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Minimum two years of nursing experience; one of which preferred in OR, and/or 2 years of critical care. BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required or get within 6 months of employment. Possesses valid driver's license.
