Job Description:
Our client located in northern Iowa is seeking a full-time, permanent Orthopedic PA to join their established team of physicians and PAs. This opportunity consists of a mix of inpatient surgeries and outpatient clinic responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a certified physician assistant with at least one year of experience, however, new graduates are welcome to apply!
Responsibilities of the Orthopedic PA
- A mix of inpatient/outpatient/clinic/surgery responsibilities
- Call is 1:7
- Assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician
- Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination
- Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests
- Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, counsels on preventative care, assists in surgery, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries.
Minimum Requirements of the Orthopedic PA:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved PA program
- New graduates are welcome to apply
