Setting the Stage

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Orthopedic Scheduler to support surgical scheduling for our orthopedic practice. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating patient surgical procedures, reviewing booking information for accuracy and completeness, and confirming final schedules.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a healthcare environment, has strong organizational skills, and understands the importance of accuracy and communication when coordinating patient care.

Travel Requirements:

Travel to the following satellite location(s) may be required: Livingston, Belleville, and Jersey City

A Typical Day

As an Orthopedic Scheduler, you may:

• Coordinate and schedule patient surgical procedures for the orthopedic practice
• Review initial surgical booking forms to ensure required information is complete
• Identify and obtain missing information needed to complete surgical scheduling
• Confirm final surgical schedules
• Communicate effectively to support accurate and timely scheduling
• Help maintain an organized scheduling process for patients and the practice

To Be Considered

Candidates must have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training
• Relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred qualifications include:

• Epic experience
• Experience with scheduling and prior authorizations
• Clinical background
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus

Scheduling Requirements:

• Working Shift: Monday - Friday
• Day Shift: 8:00AM-4:30PM
• Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week
