Paraprofessional position available in Waipahu, HI for the 2026–2027 school year, supporting students in a PreK–12 school district setting. This role provides essential classroom assistance to teachers and specialists, helping ensure students receive the academic and behavioral support they need to succeed. Responsibilities include working one-on-one or in small groups with students, assisting with instructional activities, reinforcing lesson plans, and supporting students with special needs or individualized education programs (IEPs). Additional duties may include supervising students, assisting with classroom management, helping with daily routines, and documenting student progress as directed by licensed staff.

This is an in-person position following a Monday through Friday school schedule. Candidates should be reliable, adaptable, and passionate about supporting diverse learners in an educational environment. Required Qualifications
Paraprofessional, SPECED

A high school diploma or equivalent, such as GED
Passing a formal assessment of reading, writing, and mathematics knowledge
State Educational Aide Certification (within one year of being hired)

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics
Strong Proficiency and ability to assist with reading, writing, and mathematics
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
